CASUAL DRIFTER
Casual Drifter is the kind of artist who doesn’t chase the spotlight—it finds him somewhere between the neon lights of a honky tonk or the backroads of some desert town. Having spent the better part of a decade roaming the country, he writes songs that sound like they’ve been lived in—songs that put you in the driver seat, living on coffee & worn-out dreams, alive with the stubborn hope that keeps a traveler drifting.
Raised in the shadows of small-town Indiana livin' and sharpened by a hunger to see what’s out there, he carries the spirit of the American drifter. His songs pull from dusty jukeboxes, late-night diners, and quiet moments by the side of the road. Echoes of Townes Van Zandt, Lucinda Williams, and Blaze Foley slip through the cracks, but the voice is all his own—steady, weathered, and wise.
Now based in Nashville, Casual Drifter isn’t trying to fit into the Music City mold. He’s building a catalog of music that speaks to misfits, wanderers, and anyone who’s ever rolled the dice on a dream. His debut album "Goin' For Broke" sounds like it was found in the glovebox of his rusted-out Chevy Astro Van blurring lines between classic country and modern americana. Lyrically sharp and emotionally unvarnished, it’s a soundtrack for those who feel at home nowhere and everywhere all at once.
"Goin’ For Broke", is a wake up call from the edges of the American dream—the album highlights what it takes to make it through modern times as an artist. With lyrics that hit like a stiff pour and melodies that linger like cigarette smoke, the record spins an autobiographical tale of the singers life and times.
Whether he’s playing his favorite local dives or singing under the stars at a roadside campfire, Casual Drifter makes music for folks who know what it means to bet it all on a dream and keep on driving.
